Who We Are
The American Kurdish Committee (AKC), founded in 2023, is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. The AKC advocates for U.S. policies that protect Kurdish interests and further American national security.
Our Mission
Our mission is to raise awareness about our Kurdish allies and enhance the essential partnership between the Kurds and the United States.
The AKC is launching numerous programs designed to raise awareness about the Kurds, help build support in Congress and beyond, and sponsor educational programs across the country, with the overarching goal of advancing America’s national interests in the Middle East.
What We Do
The AKC has numerous programs designed to raise awareness about Kurdish freedom, help build support in Congress, facilitate exchange programs, and ultimately empower Americans with a valuable and proven ally in the region.
